The Heart and Soul of EBD Enterprises Inc. in Winnipeg:

Meet the Danylchuks

EBD truck - Danylchuks
Bruce Danylchuk
The history of EBD Trucking starts with Edward “Bruce” Danylchuk. Bruce had a life-long love of trucks and trucking from working around the big machines as a young boy. The dream officially came true in 1981 when Bruce bought the family business from his dad, Ed.

In 1981, Bruce operated EBD Trucking out of the back of his dad’s gas station. In 1998, he bought 12 acres just north of Inkster and Route 90 in Winnipeg and built the 50,000 sq. ft. building EBD operates out of today.

To date, after 35 years in business, Bruce is still “hands on”. He takes pride in checking the tires every day on all the trucks and has an eye for detail in the office as well. He oversees every aspect of the business from checking in with drivers and dispatch, to keeping on top of the service and maintenance with our shop team, right down to ordering new trucks and trailers.

Pam Danylchuk
In 1982, Bruce’s wife Pam started doing EBD’s invoicing on the IBM computer at home. She also owned and operated a flower shop in Stonewall, Manitoba until 1999 when she decided to focus on the shop full time.

Pam was instrumental in computerizing EBD’s receivables and payables. The processes she established have accommodated the growth of the business – EBD has doubled their fleet of trucks and trailers in the last nine years.

Pam recently started a freight forwarding business, Precision Freight Systems Inc. (www.precisionfreight.com). Precision Freight Systems has grown to employ seven freight forwarding specialists and ships internationally.
